Vishal & Shekhar are a music-directing duo (Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani) for Hindi films and are among the leading music directors in the industry today. They have had a number of successes including Jhankaar Beats, Om Shanti Om, Salaam Namaste, Dus, Bluffmaster, Tashan, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Dostana, Anjaana Anjaani, RaOne and more. The duo rose to prominence when they composed “Tu Aashiqui Hai”, their efforts paid off when they won the Filmfare R D Burman Award for New Music Talent for Jhankaar Beats. The music for the film Musafir became popular with young people in India and overseas. They combined techno music with Indian sounds. The score of the film included the music hits “Saaki” and “Door Se Paas”. Vishal Dadlani is also the vocalist of Mumbai-based electronic band Pentagram and was a sometime-VJ at Channel V. Vishal is still very much a part of the Indian rock band Pentagram. Shekhar Ravjiani is a trained classical singer and has a sound base of Indian music.
